The wood used for the neck is American Walnut.
The head was cut and glued to get the angle.
The heel section was built up with a stack of walnut blocks.
A router was used to cut the channel for the truss rod.
An ebony veneer was glued to the front of the head and a strip of wood covered the truss rod.
The block was then cut to shape with a hand saw and a coping saw.
A vital calculation is the neck angle at the heel / body join.
In order for the neck to line up with the bridge position, allowing for a bridge
height of 15mm minimum - 20mm maximum, a 2 degree angle from perpendicular was
required for this guitar.
